Mark Carter & Amy Wildasin Charitable Donation Fund

DATE ESTABLISHED: January 2021

PURPOSE: Making charitable donations to organizations in North Central West Virginia, primarily to WVU Children’s Hospital, the WVU Foundation, St. Francis School, and other organizations as directed by the Fund Advisor.

DISTRIBUTION: Based on the recommendation of the donors and with final approval from the Finance Committee and Board of Directors of TCF.

VARIANCE POWER: If, in the judgment of the TCF Board of Directors, the restrictions and conditions of the fund become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, the TCF Board of Directors maintains the right to modify the terms of this fund.

FUNDING: In December 2020, Douglas “Mark” Carter provided initial funding of $60,000 to TCF to establish the fund.

BACKGROUND: Mark Carter established this fund primarily to support the WVU Children’s Hospital, the WVU Foundation, St. Francis School, and other non-profits that he and his wife are passionate about. These organizations hold a special significance for Mark and Amy: Amy worked as a nurse in the pediatric surgery unit at WVU, and Mark’s nieces and nephews attend St. Francis School.
