TYPE OF FUND: Donor Advised
DATE ESTABLISHED: December 31, 2020
PURPOSE: To allocate funds for projects aimed at enhancing new initiative programs that promote future educational and economic success in West Virginia.
DISTRIBUTION: This fund shall be used and distributed at the discretion of the TCF Board of Directors with donor advice and consent. The Foundation will make awards based on the advice and recommendation of the Donor, the Grants Committee, and subject to the approval of the TCF Board of Directors. The award decision is to be based upon the value of the project for promoting:
Critical educational and economic development programs not covered by other TCF grants but found to be critically deserving of immediate initiation and action;
Education-based programs focused upon perception, logical judgment, and decision making for civic and human responsibility in our evolving society;
Advocacy of and support for all forms of human rational cognition and expression, including those that call for human expression through creativity, subjective art, music, poetry, writing, and tactile arts and crafts;
Humane alternatives to a promotional-advertisement-based society;
Financial support for appropriate discernment competitions in West Virginia.
The Board may use applications and point structures in selecting the recipient.
VARIANCE POWER: If the TCF Board of Directors determines that the restrictions and conditions of the Fund are no longer necessary, cannot be fulfilled, or are inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, they have the right to modify the terms of the Fund. The Tucker Community Foundation has exclusive legal control over its assets.
FUNDING: The Donor has transferred and delivered $24,070.33 to the Foundation, with additional donations expected in the future. This fund is open to accepting donations in cash or other property that the Foundation receives. All donations made to this fund, along with any income generated, will be held, managed, administered, and distributed by the Foundation following the terms of the fund agreement, as well as the Foundation’s Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and general policies.
