Pendleton Community Fund

The Pendleton Community Fund, established in 2026 by and for the citizens of Pendleton County, WV, provides unrestricted grant funding to benefit charitable organizations within the county.

TYPE OF FUND: Unrestricted

DATE ESTABLISHED: January 2026

PURPOSE: To provide perpetual, unrestricted funding to benefit the citizens and communities of Pendleton County, WV.

DISTRIBUTION: Distribution of this fund is part of the yearly grant cycle. It is understood that a representative of Pendleton County will be added to the Board of Directors and that person will be on the Grants Committee to help guide the committee to the funding most needed in Pendleton County from the applications received.

FUNDING: The Pendleton County Community Foundation of Franklin, WV established the fund in the amount of $5,000, with other donations coming from the local citizens and organizations of Pendleton County. The Tucker Community Foundation matched the first $5,000 as part of the Community Fund Match Program.

BACKGROUND: The Pendleton County Community Foundation is joining the Tucker Community Foundation in the creation of three funds that TCF will manage and distribute. These are the first funds specifically for Pendleton County and are as follows: the Pendleton Community Fund, the Pendleton County Emergency Services Fund, and the Pendleton County Fast Start Fund.
