Dominion Energy Scholarship Fund
The Dominion Energy Scholarship Fund, established in 2026, provides two scholarships to students in Grant, Mineral, or Tucker Counties who are continuing their education at a college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Type of Fund: Scholarship
Established: January 2026
Purpose: To provide two (2) one thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships deserving high school student with a 3.0 GPA or above in Grant, Mineral, or Tucker Counties who is continuing their education in an accredited two or four-year college, university or a vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
Distribution: On the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee and final approval by the Board of Directors of TCF. The fund advisor requests to be notified of the selected candidates each year and if the funding is sufficient to maintain at least a $1,000 scholarship yearly.
Variance Power: If, in the judgment of the TCF Board of Directors, the restrictions and conditions of the fund become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, the TCF Board of Directors maintains the right to modify the terms of this fund.
Funding: Initial funding was provided by Dominion Energy and its Foundation to establish the fund. Additional funding will be accepted by TCF to continue this scholarship. Dominion Energy may, at its discretion, provide additional funding in any year to increase the number and amount of scholarships awarded until such time as the fund balance is large enough to support a sufficient number and amount of scholarships.
