Pre-Race FAQ:

Q: When and where does the race start?
A: The race begins at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in front of the Davis Fire Hall, 610 William Avenue, Davis, WV 26260.

Q: Where does the race end?
A: The race ends where it began—in front of the Davis Fire Hall.

Q: What are the registration dates for Run For It?
A:

  • Team registration deadline: August 31, 2025. Teams must represent a charitable non-profit cause and have at least five (5) participants to qualify for awards.

  • Individual registration deadline: September 21, 2025. Team members do not need to walk or run together, but Team Captains must be present and participate on race day.

Q: When and where do I pick up my race packet?
A:

  • Friday, September 26, 2025: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Davis Fire Hall

  • Saturday, September 27, 2025: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM at the Davis Fire Hall

Q: How do I choose/change my race packet pick up option?
A: The packet pick-up option is selected during registration as an add-on.

Q: Can I pick up my race packet before Friday, September 26, 2025?
A: No. That is the earliest packet pickup date.

Q: Will there be race packet pick up on race day?
A: Yes, between 8:00–9:30 AM on race day. If you planned to pick up on Friday but cannot, you can still get it Saturday morning.

Q: Can someone else pick up my race packet?
A: Yes.

Q: What information is needed to pick up a race packet?
A: Please bring the QR code from your confirmation email or recent reminder. If unavailable, staff can search by name and DOB.

Q: How do I start a fundraiser for my team or cause?
A: A personalized fundraising link will be provided at the end of your registration and in your confirmation email.

Q: I am a Virtual 2k/5k participant. How do I get my t-shirt?
A: T-shirts will be given to your Team Captain for distribution. TCF will not ship t-shirts.

Q: I registered for in-person but can’t attend. Will TCF ship my t-shirt?
A: No. Your Team Captain will receive your shirt for distribution.

Q: Are refunds available for registration?
A: No refunds are provided. Contact TCF with questions at (304) 478-2930 or runforit@tuckerfoundationwv.org.

Race Day FAQ:

Q: Do Team Captains have to enter and participate in the race?
A: Yes. Team Captains must register for the 2k or 5k and be present and participate on race day.

Q: Can I run in the 2k walk?
A: No. The 2k is untimed and for walking only. Running is not allowed.

Q: Can I switch from the 2k to the 5k on race day?
A: No. Switching from the 2k to the 5k on race day is prohibited.

Q: Can I switch from the 5k to the 2k on race day?
A: Yes, but you must notify staff immediately so your chip can be deactivated.

Q: I forgot my bib—what should I do?
A: Limited replacement bibs will be available on race day.

Q: Where are the start and finish lines?
A: Both are in front of the Davis Fire Hall, 610 William Avenue, Davis, WV.

Q: Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?
A: Yes.

Q: Are skates, skateboards, scooters, or bikes allowed?
A: No.

Q: Are dogs or pets allowed?
A: Yes, but they must be on a short leash and start at the back of the pack.

Q: Where are the restrooms?
A: Portable toilets are available outside the Davis Fire Hall. Indoor restrooms will not be open.

Q: Where can I get first aid during the event?
A: First aid stations will be located along the racecourse.

Q: Are there finisher’s medals?
A: No. Only award winners will receive medals during the awards ceremony.

Q: Are there prizes and awards?
A: Yes! Awards are available across several categories. See the 2025 award categories in the event packet for full details. Teams must have at least 5 members to qualify for team awards.

Q: Where can I donate?
A:

  • Online at Run For It donation page

  • Or by mail: Make checks payable to TCF-RFI and mail to P.O. Box 491, Parsons, WV 26287.
    Write your team’s name on the memo line.
    All donations must be postmarked by September 8, 2025 to qualify for awards.

Q: What are the parking options?
A: Parking in Davis is very limited. Arrive early and follow all posted “NO PARKING” signs.

Q: Is there handicapped parking?
A: Yes, available at the gravel lot beside Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Avenue, Davis, WV.

Q: When do roads close and reopen on race day?
A:

  • Route 32 will be closed to through traffic from 10:50–11:15 AM.

  • After 11:15 AM, one lane will reopen. Traffic control provided by WV State Police.

A: Sign up online, or contact the Tucker Community Foundation at (304) 478-2930 or runforit@tuckerfoundationwv.org.
