The Orr Family Fund
The Orr Family Fund provides an annual scholarship to a Tucker County High School senior or an older student attending college, with a goal of supporting educational advancement at any stage.

DATE ESTABLISHED: April 1991
PURPOSE: To provide an annual scholarship to a Tucker County High School senior or to an older student who is attending college.
DISTRIBUTION: Scholarships are to be awarded by the Board of Directors upon recommendation of the Scholarship Committee.
VARIANCE POWER: If, in the judgment of the TCF Board of Directors, the restrictions and conditions of the fund become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, the TCF Board of Directors maintains the right to modify the terms of this fund. TCF has exclusive legal control over any contributed assets.
FUNDING: Established by Carole J. Orr Daniel.
BACKGROUND: Carole J. Orr Daniel is the oldest of the three children of Virginia Orr Wilson of Parsons and the late Rexal Orr. She has a younger brother, David Orr of Parsons, and a younger sister, Judith Bava, also of Parsons. A 1956 graduate of Parsons High School, Ms. Daniel later pursued higher education after raising her children. Once her three children were in school, she enrolled at Chattanooga State College, earned an associate degree in accounting, and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant.
