FUNDING: Tucker Boulder Park project donations. The first donor was the Dominion Foundation, which dedicated $10,000 of its $25,000 donation to the Boulder Park project to establish the EMS fund.
BACKGROUND: One of the ongoing challenges in Tucker County is generating enough revenue to support 24/7 Emergency Medical Services coverage for the entire county. When this fund was established in January 2014, TC EMS had one crew stationed at Station 1 on duty full-time, while the second crew operated part-time from Stations 2 & 3, leaving parts of the county without full coverage. The goal of this fund is to generate additional resources to support a minimum of two fully staffed EMS crews available 24/7.
The Tucker Boulder Park project, located in Davis, was created to build support and raise awareness for TC EMS. All donations to the project contribute to a permanent endowment benefiting Tucker County EMS, ensuring sustainable emergency medical coverage for the community.
