Friends of the Tucker County Animal Shelter Fund
The Friends of the Tucker County Animal Shelter Fund supports annual projects that enhance the connection between animals and people in Tucker County, WV, ensuring sustainable funding for the shelter’s essential programs.
TYPE OF FUND: Designated
PURPOSE: To provide annual funding to the Tucker County Animal Shelter for projects that strengthen the animal-human bond. These projects may include spay and neuter programs for at-risk animals, trap-neuter-return programs for community cats, return-to-owner initiatives, and efforts to keep humans and their pets together. Funding may also support animal tracking software, training for staff and volunteers, and vaccines and medications for shelter cats and dogs.
DISTRIBUTION: Upon the recommendation of the Grants Committee and approval by the Board of Directors of TCF.
VARIANCE POWER: If, in the judgment of the TCF Board of Directors, the restrictions and conditions of the fund become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, the TCF Board of Directors maintains the right to modify the terms of this fund.
FUNDING: Established by the Friends of the Tucker County Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ensuring lasting funding for the shelter. The group raises funds to support the shelter and its mission.
