Citizens Bank of West Virginia Fund
The Citizens Bank of West Virginia Fund, established in 1995, provides unrestricted funding to support general charitable needs, continuing the bank’s commitment to community investment and philanthropy.

DATE ESTABLISHED: 1995
PURPOSE: General charitable needs.
DISTRIBUTION: Recommendation by the Grants Committee and approval by the full Board of Directors of TCF.
VARIANCE POWER: If, in the judgment of the TCF Board of Directors, the restrictions and conditions of the fund become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community, the TCF Board of Directors maintains the right to modify the terms of this fund.
FUNDING: Initiated on June 19, 1990, with the fifth $1,000 payment made in 1995.
BACKGROUND: The fund was originally established as the Citizens National Bank Fund. Following the bank's name change to Citizens Bank of West Virginia in 2009, the board voted in January 2011 to update the fund’s name accordingly.
