BACKGROUND: The Belington Public Library serves the residents of southern Barbour County by providing books, e-books, public internet access, an extensive genealogy department, and other essential public services. Each year, the library faces financial challenges in securing the necessary funding to maintain its collections and facilities. Additionally, its location near the Tygart Valley River presents ongoing concerns about potential flood damage. The establishment of this fund ensures long-term financial support, helping the library continue to serve the community for generations to come.
